In this case the U.S.A.F 's 'rocket sled on rails' in particular....

The 'Highway of Death' in 1991....

....and the soldiers on the Highway of Death did not 'cross the line'.

It's a bit disturbing to see when something from your own era ends up in the History folder, but this is a reflection on what I heard was played (either at the time or in retrospect (though I believe was broadcast in terms of 'amusement' in the field in February, 1991) as a laugh for the aerial bombardments of Op. Desert Storm/Granby). They make it hard for you to see photographs of the burned bodies (not that you would want to see them unless you needed a (not very likely) reminder of the (admittedly irrelevant) repercussions of your time in the field). No Ali MacGraw in sight for these 'jockeys', and Baghdad Bob's successor was not particularly impressed by the fallout that was coming in the direction of Sheiki-town!

'Mercy sakes!' The places we have paid for? Despite the plethora of 'bear-in-the-air' that was there at the time!
